Dubai Unveils 5 Major New Bus Routes to Enhance Public Transport

Dubai commuters are set to enjoy smoother journeys this week as the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) rolls out five major new bus routes alongside upgrades to nine existing lines.

With the city’s population rapidly approaching four million, public transport expansion is a crucial step toward improving urban mobility and reducing traffic congestion.

Adel Shakri, Director of Planning and Business Development at RTA’s Public Transport Agency, emphasized the strategy:

“RTA is committed to expanding the public bus network while ensuring seamless integration with metro, tram, and marine transport services. Improved connectivity makes public transport the preferred choice for residents and visitors alike.”
