Dubai to Roll Out 200 Ultra-Fast EV Chargers by 2025 in Parkin–e& Deal

Dubai is set to take a major step toward green mobility with the rollout of 200 ultra-fast electric vehicle (EV) chargers by October 2025, thanks to a new partnership between Parkin PJSC and charge&go, a subsidiary of Etisalat Services Holding (e&).
Key Highlights
- Total Chargers Planned: 200 ultra-fast direct current (DC) units
- Phase One Launch: 20 chargers at high-traffic locations in 2025
- Charging Time: Under 30 minutes per session
- Coverage: Residential communities, retail hubs, and leisure destinations
- Technology: DC chargers with real-time app reservations and payments
- Sustainability Goal: Support Dubai’s 2040 Urban Master Plan and EV adoption
Why It Matters
Dubai currently has more than 40,000 EVs on the road. The expansion of ultra-fast charging infrastructure is expected to accelerate adoption of electric and plug-in hybrid cars by:
- Reducing charging times significantly compared to traditional AC stations
- Making EV ownership more practical for daily commuters
- Aligning with Dubai’s green mobility vision and sustainability strategy
Executive Insights
Eng. Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali, CEO of Parkin, said the 10-year collaboration reflects a commitment to greener, tech-driven mobility solutions:
“This partnership is key to accelerating EV adoption and ensuring Dubai is ready for the future of sustainable transport.”
Muammar Al Rukhaimi, CEO of Etisalat Services Holding, emphasized the scalability:
“Dubai is setting a benchmark for cities worldwide by making fast, convenient, and green charging widely accessible.”
EV Charging Rollout Timeline
| Phase | Chargers Installed | Locations Covered | Timeline |
|---|---|---|---|
| Phase 1 | 20 | High-traffic zones | Oct 2025 |
| Phase 2 | 180 | Residential, retail & leisure areas | 2025–2026 |
Smarter Charging Rules
To ensure fair use, the new ‘park and charge’ policy will only allow cars to occupy bays while actively charging. This measure prevents overstay and unauthorized parking.
