Dubai Municipality Launches ‘Eltizam’ App to Keep the City Clean – Report Violations in Seconds
Dubai Municipality has rolled out a new mobile app called ‘Eltizam’ that makes it easier than ever to report people breaking public cleanliness rules. From littering and spitting to illegal barbecuing and not cleaning up after pets, the app helps keep Dubai looking clean, safe, and beautiful.
The app is part of Dubai Law No. (19) of 2024, which gives certain trained officials the authority to record violations instantly using photos, location tracking, and quick online reports.
How ‘Eltizam’ Works
Authorised Dubai Municipality officers can:
- Take photos of the violation
- Automatically record the location
- Add quick notes about the incident
- Submit the report instantly for action
This means anyone caught breaking cleanliness laws can now be reported and fined much faster.
What Violations Can Be Reported?
In its first phase, Eltizam targets eight key cleanliness violations that damage Dubai’s image:
- Spitting in public areas
- Throwing chewing gum on streets
- Littering in parks, streets, or other public places
- Dumping waste into the sea, beaches, or ports
- Washing vehicles in non-approved places
- Barbecuing or lighting fires in prohibited areas
- Posting flyers or ads that spoil public spaces
- Not cleaning up after pets in public areas
